What these window clings are

They fix with static cling. There is no glue on the back, so you do not need tape, putty or adhesive hooks. Static cling holds the cling flat against the glass and lets you reposition it while you work. When the season is over, it peels off without residue.

How to put them on

1. Clean the glass with a lint-free cloth and let it dry.
2. Wipe the glass with a little water, or mist it lightly.
3. Peel the cling from its backing.
4. Press the cling onto the wet glass, smooth side down.
5. Slide it into place while the glass is still damp.
6. Press from the center out to push out air and water.

If a corner lifts, lift the cling, wet the glass again and press it back down. Static cling lets you move the design as many times as you need before it sets.

Care and removal

Wipe the face of the cling with a soft, damp cloth when it looks dusty. Do not use abrasive pads or harsh cleaners on the PVC. To remove, lift a corner with your fingernail and peel the cling away from the glass. The glass may show a light film from the water you used, so wipe it with a clean cloth. Store the cling flat on its backing or between sheets of paper so it stays smooth for next year.

Good to know
