This set of Halloween window clings uses PE static cling film. There is no adhesive on the back. The shapes hold to smooth glass and mirrors by static cling alone, so you press them on and smooth them flat. When the season ends, each piece peels off without residue. The material is thin and flexible, which makes it easy to lift a corner and reposition a shape while you decorate.
The pack holds 4 sheets. Each sheet measures 7.9 x 11.8 in (20 x 30 cm). Laid side by side, the 4 sheets cover 30.35 x 21.93 in (77.1 x 55.7 cm) of surface area. The designs are Halloween themed, with skeletons and bats in the mix.
The set includes several cut shapes at different scales, so you can build a scene across a window or spread the pieces over a few panes.
| Shape | Size |
|---|---|
| Skeleton with hat | 10.6 in (27 cm) |
| Center skeleton | 7.7 in (19.5 cm) |
| Right skeleton | 11 in (28 cm) |
| Bats | About 3.5 in (9 cm) |
Because the sizes vary, the larger skeletons work well as the main figures and the bats fill the space around them. You can group all the pieces on one large window or mirror, or split them between a front window, a storm door and a hallway mirror.
Start with clean glass. Wipe the window or mirror with a damp cloth and let it dry, since dust and grease keep static cling from holding. Peel a shape from the sheet. Press it onto the glass and smooth it from the center outward with your hand to push out air bubbles.
If a piece will not stay, lift it and wipe the glass again. Static cling holds best on smooth, non-porous surfaces such as glass and mirrors. Textured glass, painted wood and rough walls do not give the film enough contact. For a layered look, overlap a bat on a skeleton or place a small shape over a larger one. To move a shape, peel a corner and lift it slowly. The film is reusable, so you can store the sheets flat and bring them out again next season.
These clings suit windows and mirrors in living rooms, entryways, bedrooms and offices. Use them on a front window, a glass storm door, a patio door or a bathroom mirror. The skeletons and bats read clearly from both sides, so they work for windows that face the street and for interior glass.
Keep the sheets away from heat sources and direct sun when stored. Store them flat between sheets of paper if you want to protect the film for reuse. Do not use them on car windows, since local rules on window obstructions vary.
Static clings need little care. Wipe them with a soft, damp cloth if they pick up dust, then let them air dry before pressing them back on the glass. Do not use abrasive cleaners, scrubbing pads or solvents on the film. To remove, peel each shape from a corner and pull slowly. Any marks left on the glass wipe away with a damp cloth.
When Halloween is over, clean and dry each piece, stack the sheets flat and store them in a cool, dry place. With a little care, the set is ready to use again the following year.
No. They are PE static cling film, so they hold to smooth glass and mirrors with no glue and no tape. Just press them on and smooth out the air.
