What these window clings are

These are Christmas window decorations made of matte PVC vinyl. They stick to glass by static cling, which means no adhesive, no tape and no glue. You press them onto a clean pane and they hold. When the season ends, you lift a corner and peel them off. The surface stays clean, with no sticky film left behind.

The matte finish keeps the colors soft and readable from both sides of the glass. The set works on flat single or double glazing, so it fits most standard home windows, storm doors and glass panels.

Designs to choose from

You pick one design per pack:

  • Santa with candy cane and mittens
  • Reindeer with snowflakes
  • Snowflakes and stars
  • White Christmas tree with elf and reindeer

Each design is a full scene, not a single shape. The snowflake and star set leans simple and wintry. The Santa and reindeer sets bring a warmer, storybook feel. The white tree set mixes a tree, an elf and a reindeer in one layout.

Where they fit

Static cling needs a smooth, flat glass surface. These clings are made for flat single or double glazing. Good spots include:

  • Living room and bedroom windows
  • Front doors with full glass panels
  • Storm doors
  • Kitchen windows above the sink
  • Flat glass cabinet doors

Skip textured, frosted or curved glass. Skip painted or coated panes. Static cling cannot grip those surfaces, and the clings may slide or fall.

How to apply them

  1. Wipe the glass with a damp cloth and let it dry. Dust and grease are the main reasons clings slip.
  2. Peel the cling from its backing. Keep the backing sheet flat so you can store the clings later.
  3. Press the cling onto the glass, smooth side out. Start at one edge and work across.
  4. Push out air bubbles with your fingers or a soft cloth, moving from the center to the edges.
  5. If a cling lifts, peel it off, wipe the glass again and press it back down.

On cold days, glass can hold a light film of condensation. Dry the pane first, then apply. For double glazing, apply to the indoor pane only.

Care and storage

Wipe the clings with a soft, damp cloth when they look dull. Do not use abrasive pads, solvents or glass cleaners with ammonia, since those can cloud the matte PVC surface.

To store them for next year, peel each cling off the glass, lay it flat on its original backing sheet and keep the stack in a cool, dry place. Avoid folding or creasing the vinyl. With flat storage, the edges stay smooth and the clings press down cleanly the next time.

Removal

Peel from a corner and pull slowly. The cling releases on its own, with no residue on the glass. If any marks remain, they are usually fingerprints or dust, and a damp cloth clears them. There is no scraping and no adhesive remover needed.

A note on placement

Static cling holds best on clean, flat glass. On very large panes, place clings away from the edges where hands and doors brush past. If a cling sits in direct sun all day, check it once in a while and press down any lifted corner. These are simple habits that keep the set looking neat through the season.

Questions

Do these Christmas window clings need glue or tape?

No. They hold by static cling on flat glass. You press them on and peel them off, with no adhesive and no tape.

Will they leave residue on my windows?

No. They peel off without residue. If you see marks after removal, they are usually dust or fingerprints, and a damp cloth clears them.

What glass do they work on?

They suit flat single or double glazing. Apply them to the indoor pane. Textured, frosted or curved glass will not hold static cling well.

Which designs can I choose from?

There are four: Santa with candy cane and mittens, reindeer with snowflakes, snowflakes and stars, and a white Christmas tree with elf and reindeer.
