The surface needs to be smooth, clean and dry before you start. Textured walls, unfinished brick and rough concrete will not give the backing a good grip. Wipe the area with a damp cloth, let it dry fully, then begin.
How to fit it
- Clean the surface and let it dry.
- Measure the area and plan your layout, including any outlets or edges.
- Peel the backing from one corner of a sheet.
- Press the sheet onto the surface, working from the center outward to push out air.
- Smooth with your hand or a soft cloth.
- Trim the edges with scissors or a craft knife.
- Repeat with the next sheet, lining up the pattern as you go.
For a straight run, start at one end and work across. For a centered pattern, find the middle of the wall and work outward in both directions. If you need to reposition a sheet, peel it back slowly and press it down again.
Care
The surface is waterproof and wipes clean. Use a damp cloth with mild soap for everyday marks. Avoid abrasive pads and harsh solvents, which can dull the matte finish. There is no need to seal the edges or treat the surface after fitting.
Questions
Will these tile stickers stick to painted walls?
Yes. They are made for smooth painted walls, tile and glass. The surface should be clean, dry and smooth, so textured or unfinished walls are not a good fit.
Do they leave residue when removed?
No. The self-adhesive backing peels off without residue. Peel slowly and pull the sheet back at a low angle for the cleanest result.
Can I use them on a floor?
Yes, the matte PVC vinyl works on floors as well as walls. Keep the surface smooth and dry, and wipe the stickers clean with a damp cloth.
