What it is

This is a clear vinyl contact paper with a self-adhesive backing. The vinyl is see-through, so whatever sits under it stays visible. That makes it a practical liner for shelves, drawers and cabinets where you want protection without hiding the surface. It also works as a cover for books and other flat items you want to keep clean.

The roll is flexible and easy to cut with household scissors. The adhesive backing holds the vinyl in place once pressed down. When you want to remove it, peel it back slowly from a corner.

Size and pack options

Each sheet measures 17.5 x 60 in (44.5 x 152 cm). The width suits standard shelf and drawer depths, and the length gives you room to line several surfaces or cover a large book.

Option What you get
2 rolls Two sheets, each 17.5 x 60 in (44.5 x 152 cm)
1 roll One sheet, 17.5 x 60 in (44.5 x 152 cm)

Pick the 2 roll pack when you plan to line a full cabinet or several drawers. Pick the single roll for a smaller job, such as one shelf or a single book cover.

Where it works

Shelf liner: cut the vinyl to the size of your shelf, peel the backing and press it down. The clear finish lets the shelf surface show through.

Cabinet liner: line cabinet floors and drawers to keep them free of dust and small spills. The vinyl wipes clean with a damp cloth.

Book cover: cut a piece slightly larger than the book, peel the backing and smooth the vinyl over the cover. Trim the edges with scissors.

Other flat surfaces: use it on desks, craft tables, storage bins and any flat area that needs a clear protective layer.

How to apply it

  1. Clean and dry the surface. Dust or grease can keep the adhesive from holding.
  2. Measure the area and cut the vinyl a little larger than you need.
  3. Peel back a few inches of the backing paper.
  4. Press the exposed vinyl onto the surface and smooth it with your hand or a soft cloth.
  5. Keep peeling the backing and pressing as you go, working from the center outward to push out air bubbles.
  6. Trim the edges with scissors or a craft knife.

For a smoother result, work on a flat surface and take your time. If a bubble appears, lift that corner and press it back down.

Care and removal

Wipe the vinyl with a damp cloth when it needs a refresh. Avoid abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which can dull the clear finish.

To remove the vinyl, lift a corner and peel it back slowly. A little warmth from a hair dryer on a low setting can help loosen the adhesive on stubborn spots. Any sticky residue left behind can be wiped with a damp cloth.

Good to know

The vinyl is clear, so it will not change the look of the surface underneath. It is not meant to hide stains or dark marks. If you want to cover a surface rather than protect it, a solid color or pattern liner will serve you better.

Store unused rolls flat and away from direct sun. Keep the backing paper if you plan to reuse a piece later.

Questions

Is this contact paper truly clear?

Yes. The vinyl is clear, so the surface underneath stays visible. It adds a protective layer without changing the color or pattern of your shelf, drawer or book cover.

What size is each roll?

Each sheet measures 17.5 x 60 in (44.5 x 152 cm). You can choose a pack of 2 rolls or a single roll.

How do I apply it without bubbles?

Peel the backing a few inches at a time and press the vinyl down as you go. Work from the center outward with your hand or a soft cloth to push out air.

Can I remove it later?

Yes. Lift a corner and peel the vinyl back slowly. A little low heat from a hair dryer can help on stubborn spots, and any residue wipes away with a damp cloth.
