What this roll is

This is a matte PVC vinyl roll with a self-adhesive backing. The surface is solid color with a soft matte finish, so it reads as paint rather than plastic. There is no glue bottle and no paste. You cut the roll to size, peel the liner, and press it onto the surface.

The vinyl is waterproof and mildew resistant, so it suits kitchens, baths and laundry areas. A damp cloth wipes it clean. When you want a change, it peels off without residue on smooth surfaces.

Sizes

Seven sizes cover small craft jobs up to full wall runs. Widths are 15.7 in (40 cm) and 21.7 in (55 cm).

Size Best for
15.7 x 39.4 in (40 x 100 cm) Drawer fronts, small shelves, sample runs
15.7 x 78.7 in (40 x 200 cm) Cabinet doors, narrow shelves, craft tables
15.7 x 118.1 in (40 x 300 cm) Bookcases, counter wraps, short wall strips
15.7 x 196.9 in (40 x 500 cm) Long shelves, tall cabinet runs, accent walls
21.7 x 78.7 in (55 x 200 cm) Wider cabinet doors, desk tops, small counters
21.7 x 118.1 in (55 x 300 cm) Counters, dressers, wider wall strips
21.7 x 196.9 in (55 x 500 cm) Full accent walls, long counter runs, large built-ins

Measure your surface before you order. Add a little extra to the length so you can trim a clean edge.

Colors

Six matte shades: matte white, matte light gray, mocha, matte dark gray, matte black and sage green. Matte white and matte light gray keep a room bright and quiet. Mocha and sage green add warmth. Matte dark gray and matte black give a crisp, modern look on cabinets and shelves.

All colors share the same matte PVC vinyl and the same self-adhesive backing. Order the size that fits your surface, then pick the shade that matches your room.

Where it works

The backing grips smooth painted walls, tile and glass. Common spots include cabinet doors, cupboard fronts, shelf liner, countertops, drawer bottoms, bookcases, desk tops and accent walls. It also works on glass and tile in kitchens and baths.

Skip rough, textured, dusty or freshly painted surfaces. Paint should be fully cured first. Clean the surface with a damp cloth and let it dry completely before you start.

How to apply it

  1. Measure the surface and cut the roll with a little extra on each side.
  2. Clean the surface. Remove dust, grease and loose paint.
  3. Peel back a few inches of the liner at one end.
  4. Press that end down and smooth it with a squeegee or a soft cloth.
  5. Work in short sections, peeling the liner as you go.
  6. Push out air bubbles toward the nearest edge as you smooth.
  7. Trim the edges with a sharp knife or scissors.

For cabinets and shelves, remove handles and hardware first. On glass, a spray bottle of water can help you slide the vinyl into place before you press it down. Work slowly and keep the roll flat so it does not crease.

Care

The vinyl is waterproof and mildew resistant. Wipe it with a damp cloth and a mild household cleaner. Avoid abrasive pads and harsh solvents, which can dull the matte finish. For a deeper clean, use a soft cloth and warm water, then dry the surface.

To remove the vinyl, lift a corner and pull it back slowly at a low angle. On smooth painted walls, tile and glass, it peels off without residue. Any sticky spots left behind wipe away with warm water.
