Frosted Floral Privacy Window Film

What this window film is

This is a self-adhesive privacy film made of PVC. The surface has a frosted floral pattern in gray and white with blue, yellow and teal accents. Because the pattern is frosted, it obscures the view and gives you semi-private glass. Light still passes through, so the room stays bright.

The film is made for flat glass windows and doors. It sticks with its own backing, so you do not need separate glue or tape.

Size and coverage

Each sheet is 17.7 x 39.4 in (45 x 100 cm). You can cut it to fit smaller panes, or line up several sheets for a wider window.

Measure your glass before you order. Add a little extra to your measurement so you have room to trim. For a wide window, count how many sheets you need based on the 17.7 in (45 cm) width.

Color and pattern

The film comes in one color option: gray and white floral. Small blue, yellow and teal accents sit inside the floral design. The frosted background is what creates the privacy. Up close you see the flower shapes. From a distance the pattern reads as a soft, even texture.

This style suits bathroom windows, front doors, sidelights and kitchen windows where you want light without a clear view.

How to fit it

1. Clean the glass with water and let it dry. Dust and grease stop the film from sticking well.
2. Measure the pane and cut the film about 1 in (2.5 cm) larger on each side.
3. Peel back a small part of the backing. Press the film onto the top edge of the glass.
4. Slowly peel the rest of the backing away while you push the film down with a squeegee or a soft cloth.
5. Work out air bubbles from the center toward the edges.
6. Trim the extra film along the frame with a sharp knife.

For a smooth result, take your time as you press the film down. This lets you slide it into position before you press it flat.

Use it on flat glass windows and doors. The frosted pattern gives you semi-private glass in bathrooms, entryways and kitchens.

Care

Wipe the film with a soft cloth and mild soapy water. Skip abrasive pads, scouring powder and strong solvents, which can dull the frosted finish. A squeegee or soft sponge is enough for normal cleaning.
