What it is and what it is made of

This is a peel and stick wallpaper with a grid plaid design. The material is matte PVC vinyl, so the surface has a soft, low-shine finish rather than a glossy one. A self-adhesive backing runs along the whole roll. You press it onto the wall and smooth it down, no paste or water needed.

The grid plaid pattern reads as crossing lines in a repeating square layout, which gives a wall a tailored, fabric-like look without any papering skills. The matte finish keeps the pattern subtle in bright rooms.

Size and coverage

Each roll is a single long sheet. There is one size option:

Size Coverage
15.7 x 118.1 in (40 x 300 cm) 12.9 sq ft (1.2 m2)

Measure the width and height of your surface before you order. Divide the total square footage by 12.9 to see how many rolls you need. For a wall that is 8 ft tall and 10 ft wide, that is 80 sq ft, or about 7 rolls. Buy a little extra so you can line up the pattern across seams and trim the edges.

Colors

The grid plaid design comes in three colors:

  • Light brown: a soft, pale tone
  • Brown: a warmer, mid-tone shade
  • Dark gray: a deep, cool neutral

All three use the same matte PVC vinyl and the same grid layout. Pick the tone that matches your floor or furniture, or go darker for contrast against light walls.

Where it works and how to fit it

The wallpaper is made for smooth painted walls, tile and glass. The surface needs to be clean, dry and flat. Textured walls, brick and rough plaster can keep the adhesive from making full contact.

A simple way to fit it:

  1. Wipe the surface with a damp cloth and let it dry.
  2. Measure the height you need and cut the roll with scissors or a craft knife.
  3. Peel back a few inches of the backing at the top.
  4. Press the top edge into place and smooth downward.
  5. Keep peeling the backing away as you go, pressing out air bubbles with a cloth or a plastic smoother.
  6. Trim the edges at the ceiling, baseboard and corners.

For a second strip, butt the edge against the first one and match the grid lines. Work in small sections so the paper does not fold onto itself. If a bubble appears, lift that corner and press it back down.

Removal and care

The backing peels off without residue, so it works well for rentals and for walls you want to change later. Pull the paper back slowly at a low angle, close to the wall, and it should come away in a single piece.

To clean it, wipe with a damp cloth. Skip abrasive pads and strong solvents, which can dull the matte finish. A quick wipe is enough for everyday dust and marks.

Common uses

People use this wallpaper on accent walls, behind a bed, along a hallway, on cabinet fronts and on glass. Because it is removable, it also suits apartments, dorms and offices where the wall has to go back to how it was. The grid plaid look pairs well with plain paint, metal fixtures and natural fabrics.

Questions

Does this wallpaper need glue or paste?

No. It has a self-adhesive backing, so you peel off the liner and press it onto the wall. No paste, water or tools are required.

How much wall does one roll cover?

One roll covers 12.9 sq ft (1.2 m2). Measure your wall and divide the total square footage by 12.9 to find how many rolls you need.

Will it come off without damaging the wall?

It peels off without residue when you pull it back slowly at a low angle. It is made for smooth painted walls, tile and glass.

Can I use it in a bathroom or kitchen?

It can go on smooth tile and glass, and the matte PVC vinyl wipes clean with a damp cloth. Keep it away from constant direct water contact.
