One roll of white vinyl wallpaper printed with a sketch-style floral, with a lightly embossed surface and a self-adhesive back under a peel-off liner. It measures 17.3 in x 9.8 ft (44 x 300 cm) and covers 14.2 sq ft (1.32 m²).
The drawing looks like it was done in pencil and fine pen: open peonies, long leaves and small butterflies and dragonflies tucked between the flowers. The gray lines are softer than pure black, so the wall feels detailed but quiet.
It suits rooms where you want pattern without color: a bedroom wall behind the bed, a dining nook, the wall above a console or a bench in an entryway, or the space above wainscoting. It pairs naturally with black frames, pale wood, linen and white trim.
Small projects work too. It is a quick way to update dresser drawers, cabinet doors or the back of open shelves, and offcuts from a wall are often enough for a drawer front or two.
One roll gives one full-height strip on a wall up to about 9 ft tall. Measure the wall width in inches, divide by 17.3 and round up, then add one roll for matching and repairs. A wall 12 ft wide, 144 in, takes 9 rolls, plus one spare.
Wipe the wall clean and let it dry. Draw a plumb line with a level about 17 in from the corner. Peel back the top of the liner, line the strip up at the ceiling with 2 in spare, then smooth it down with a plastic smoother as you pull the liner away. Match the flowers on the next strip, butt the edges tight and trim top and bottom with a sharp knife. Our measure and make guide shows how to work around windows, doors and outlets.
Wipe marks with a soft damp cloth. To take it down, peel slowly at a low angle; on sound paint it comes away cleanly. Weak or chalky paint can lift, so test a small piece first if you rent.
Keep it away from showers, stove walls, radiators and damp spots, and do not hang it on textured or freshly painted walls.
It reads as a soft charcoal gray. The lines are thinner and lighter than a solid black print, so the wall looks detailed but calm, and it sits well next to both black and pale wood furniture.
Yes, and it looks good there. Measure from the top of the rail to the ceiling, add 2 in for trimming, and you will often get two strips from one roll on a low upper wall.
On a wall away from the shower and the sink splash, yes, in a room with a working fan. Steam and standing water weaken the adhesive, so keep it out of the shower area.
On sound, cured paint, yes: peel slowly at a low angle. Chalky or fresh paint can lift with it, so try a small hidden piece first if you rent.
