What this marble wallpaper is

This is a peel and stick wallpaper printed with a marble pattern and a soft gold vein running through it. The surface is matte PVC vinyl, so it reads as stone rather than as a glossy print. The back carries a self-adhesive layer. You press it onto the wall, smooth it down, and it stays. There is no paste, no mixing, and no waiting for glue to set.

The roll is a single continuous sheet, not a set of panels. One roll measures 15.75 x 118.1 in (40 x 300 cm) and covers 12.9 sq ft (1.2 m2). That is enough for a small accent wall, a backsplash section, a rented kitchen, a rental bathroom, or the side of a cabinet. If your surface is larger, order more than one roll and match the pattern at the seam.

Sizes and coverage

One size is stocked, and it is the size most people want for a first project.

Size Coverage Best for
15.75 x 118.1 in (40 x 300 cm) 12.9 sq ft (1.2 m2) Accent walls, backsplashes, shelves, cabinet fronts, rental updates

Measure the width and height of your surface in inches, multiply them, and divide by 12.9. Round up. That gives you the number of rolls to order. Add one extra roll if you are matching the marble pattern across a wide wall, since pattern matching uses more material.

Colors

Four marble colorways are available, and each one pairs a stone base with gold veining.

  • Gray and gold marble: a cool gray base with warm gold lines. Works well in kitchens and bathrooms with stainless or chrome fixtures.
  • Black and gold marble: a deep black base with gold lines. A strong choice for a single accent wall or a bar area.
  • White and gold marble: a bright white base with gold lines. The lightest option, and the easiest to live with in a small room.
  • Cream and gold marble: a soft cream base with gold lines. Warmer than white, and it sits well with wood tones and brass.

Order a roll, unroll a short section, and hold it against your wall in daylight before you commit to the whole surface. Marble prints shift with the light in a room.

Where it can go

The adhesive backing holds on smooth painted walls, tile and glass. Those are the surfaces it is made for. The smoother the surface, the better the contact and the cleaner the result.

Good spots include a kitchen backsplash behind a counter, a bathroom wall above a vanity, a rented apartment wall you want to change without paint, a glass cabinet door, a tiled fireplace surround, and the fronts of plain cabinets or shelves.

Skip rough surfaces. Brick, cinder block, unfinished wood, textured plaster and fresh paint that has not fully cured will not give the adhesive a flat surface to grip. Clean the wall first, let it dry completely, and wipe off dust and grease. On a freshly painted wall, wait until the paint is fully cured before applying.

How to fit it

  1. Measure your surface and cut the roll to length with a little extra at the top and bottom.
  2. Clean the surface with a damp cloth and let it dry.
  3. Peel back a few inches of the backing at the top and press the wallpaper into place.
  4. Pull the backing away as you go, smoothing the vinyl down with your hand or a soft cloth.
  5. Push out air bubbles toward the nearest edge as you work.
  6. Trim the top, bottom and sides with a sharp knife against a straight edge.
  7. For seams, butt the edges together rather than overlapping them, and line up the marble pattern.

If you need to reposition a section, peel it back slowly and start again. The adhesive is designed to let you do that during installation. Work in small sections on a ladder rather than trying to hang a full wall at once.

Care

Wipe the surface with a damp cloth when it needs a clean. That is all it takes. Avoid abrasive pads, scrubbing powders and harsh solvents, since they can dull the matte finish or lift the print. In a kitchen, wipe splashes when they happen rather than letting them sit.

Questions

Will this marble wallpaper stick to tile and glass?

Yes. The self-adhesive backing is made for smooth painted walls, tile and glass. Clean the surface and let it dry fully before you apply it.

How much wall does one roll cover?

One roll measures 15.75 x 118.1 in (40 x 300 cm) and covers 12.9 sq ft (1.2 m2). Measure your surface and round up when you order.

Can I remove it later without damaging the wall?

It is a peel and stick wallpaper, so you peel it back slowly when you want it gone. On smooth, fully cured painted walls it comes away cleanly.

How do I clean the wallpaper after it is up?

Wipe it with a damp cloth. Skip abrasive pads and harsh solvents, which can dull the matte finish or lift the print.
