What this marble wallpaper is

This is a self-adhesive vinyl wallpaper with a foam backing. The foam layer gives the surface a soft, slightly cushioned feel, and the vinyl face carries the marble print. The backing sticks to smooth painted walls, tile and glass, so you can use it in a bathroom, kitchen, bedroom or entryway. Because it is self-adhesive, you do not need paste or extra tools to put it up.

The marble pattern is printed across the full roll, so the look stays consistent as you work across a wall. The surface is waterproof and wipes clean with a damp cloth, which helps in rooms where splashes and fingerprints happen.

Size and coverage

Each roll is a single size. One roll covers 12.9 sq ft (1.2 m2).

Measure the width and height of the area you want to cover, then compare that number to the coverage per roll. For a larger wall, order more than one roll so the pattern lines up and you have enough material to trim the edges.

Where it works

This wallpaper is made for smooth painted walls, tile and glass. A smooth surface gives the adhesive the best chance to hold, so fill any holes and let fresh paint cure before you apply it. On tile, clean away soap residue first. On glass, wipe the surface so it is free of dust and grease.

It is a practical choice for a kitchen backsplash area, a bathroom wall or a bedroom wall.

How to apply it

1. Clean the surface and let it dry completely.
2. Measure the area and cut the roll to length, leaving a little extra at the top and bottom.
3. Peel back a small section of the backing at the top.
4. Press the top edge into place and smooth it down with your hand or a soft cloth.
5. Peel the backing away as you work downward, pressing out air bubbles as you go.
6. Trim the edges with a sharp knife or scissors.
7. Press the full surface once more to set the adhesive.

Work in small sections rather than peeling the whole backing at once. If a bubble appears, lift that corner and press it back down. For two rolls side by side, butt the edges together rather than overlapping them.

Care

Wipe the surface with a damp cloth when it needs a refresh. Avoid abrasive cleaners and rough sponges, which can dull the print. A mild soap and water mix on a soft cloth is enough for most marks. Dry the surface after wiping so water does not sit on the edges.
