This is a sheet of PET aluminum foil with a self-adhesive backing. The foil surface reflects sun and heat away from the glass, and in winter it helps hold warmth inside the room. The backing peels off and presses onto clean glass, so there is no paste, no tools and no punching or drilling. Each sheet is 39.4 in (100 cm) long.
Five widths are available, each 39.4 in (100 cm) long. Every width comes with a plain edge or a black edge.
| Size | Metric | Edge options |
|---|---|---|
| 19.7 x 39.4 in | 50 x 100 cm | No edge, black edge |
| 23.6 x 39.4 in | 60 x 100 cm | No edge, black edge |
| 27.6 x 39.4 in | 70 x 100 cm | No edge, black edge |
| 31.5 x 39.4 in | 80 x 100 cm | No edge, black edge |
| 35.4 x 39.4 in | 90 x 100 cm | No edge, black edge |
Measure your glass before you order. A single sheet covers one window pane in most cases. For a wider window, place two sheets side by side and line up the edges.
The plain edge option gives you a clean foil border that sits flush with the glass. The black edge option adds a dark border around the sheet, which can look sharper against dark frames or tinted glass. Both options use the same PET aluminum foil and the same self-adhesive backing.
The film is punch-free, so it suits rented homes, dorms and offices where you cannot drill into the frame. It also works on glass doors, sunroom panes and skylights.
Use it on windows that take direct sun, such as west and south facing rooms. It blocks sun and heat, which can help a room feel cooler in summer. In winter, the foil layer helps keep warmth in, so the same sheet works year round. It also adds privacy, since the foil surface is not see-through.
Wipe the foil with a soft, damp cloth. Skip abrasive pads and strong cleaners, which can scratch the surface. To remove the film, lift a corner and pull it back slowly. Warm soapy water can help loosen the adhesive if it resists. Store unused sheets flat, with the backing still on, in a dry place.
