This is a self-adhesive window film made of PET mesh. The mesh weave gives the film a fine textured surface, and the adhesive backing holds it flat against glass. It is made for home windows and works as a sun blocking layer on clear panes.
The film is opaque, so it reads as a solid panel of color rather than a see-through tint. Black gives a deeper shade at the window. White keeps the glass looking lighter while still cutting the sun.
Two sheet sizes and two colors are available. Pick the color and size you need from the options on this page.
| Color | Size |
|---|---|
| Black | 11.8 x 39.4 in (30 x 100 cm) |
| Black | 17.7 x 39.4 in (45 x 100 cm) |
| White | 11.8 x 39.4 in (30 x 100 cm) |
| White | 17.7 x 39.4 in (45 x 100 cm) |
The 11.8 in (30 cm) width suits narrow panes, sidelights and small windows. The 17.7 in (45 cm) width covers more glass in one pass. Both come as 39.4 in (100 cm) long sheets, so you can cut a single sheet down or line up several sheets for a wider window.
Start with clean glass. Wipe the pane with a lint-free cloth so no dust or grease sits under the film.
Measure the pane and cut the sheet about 0.4 in (1 cm) larger than the glass on each side. A slight overhang is easier to trim in place than a sheet cut too small.
Peel back a few inches of the adhesive backing and press that edge onto the top of the glass. Work downward, peeling the backing away as you go, and smooth the film with a squeegee or a soft cloth. Push air out toward the edges as you move.
Once the film sits flat, trim the overhang with a sharp blade along the frame. Run the squeegee over the whole sheet one more time to seat the edges.
Use it on home windows that take direct sun, such as bedroom, office and living room panes. The mesh layer cuts heat and UV at the glass, which helps a room stay cooler through the bright part of the day.
Because the film is opaque, it also softens the view through the window. That makes it a fit for windows where you want less glare and less direct light rather than a clear view out.
It is not a replacement for a reflective or mirror style tint. If you want a see-through finish, look at the other window films in the Home window tint category.
The film is self-adhesive, so it stays put once pressed down. Clean it with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap. Skip abrasive pads and strong solvents, which can dull the mesh surface.
To remove it, lift a corner and peel the sheet back slowly and evenly. Warmth helps the adhesive release, so a hair dryer on low held a few inches from the film can make the job easier. Any sticky residue left on the glass wipes away with soapy water.
Yes. The PET mesh is made for heat insulation and anti-UV use, so it cuts the sun at the glass on home windows.
Two sheet sizes: 11.8 x 39.4 in (30 x 100 cm) and 17.7 x 39.4 in (45 x 100 cm). Both are 39.4 in (100 cm) long.
No. The film is opaque, so it blocks the view and softens the light. It is not a clear or reflective tint.
It has a self-adhesive backing. Peel the backing as you press the film onto clean glass, smooth out the air, then trim the edges.
